Contestants in any
weightlifting division may lift less than the Standard,
but the highest
percentage of body weight up to the Standard determines
placement in the
contest.
Those successful in performing to the Standard will be placed over those
performing less
than the standard. For example, if a 40
year-old woman decides she wants to
lift 50% of her bodyweight instead of the Standard
(60%), she will be placed below those
who lifted a higher percentage of their bodyweight up to
the Standard, NO MATTER HOW MANY
REPETITIONS SHE DOES. Those lifting the highest
percentage of their body weight up to the Standard
will be placed above those lifting a lower percentage,
NO MATTER HOW MANY REPETITIONS
ARE PERFORMED.
