Registration
Race Time Check-In: 8:00-9:00AM.  Please show up during this time.  Because there is no pre-registration, we have no idea how many people will show.  It’s important to show up early and register!

All registrations are accepted day of race.  No pre-registration required.  The registration fee is $10, unless you belong to a sponsorship team.

Race will begin at 8:30 AM.  Racers will be sent out individually in 30 second intervals.  If you register by 9:00 AM, you will still have time to get into the race.

General
Time Trial (TT) races on a bicycle are as basic as it gets in racing bicycles – no team support or drafting – just you against the clock.

Competition in TT is not necessarily head-to–head.  Individuals or pairs will be queued and sent out in 30-second intervals to complete the course.  There will be a start time and a finish.  You will be racing the clock.

Course Description
The course is 6 miles long and is basically flat.  Individuals in the BASIC divisions (F12, M12, F70, M70) will be required to do one lap.  All others in the OPEN division will be required to do two (2) laps for a total of 12 miles.

There are some gradual uphills and one downhill.  The course has intersections, but is all right turns.

Rules
1. Helmet use is mandatory.
2. You are responsible for your own safety.  Riders must obey traffic laws. The roads are not closed for the event. You are deemed to be a regular road user.  You are responsible to watch for traffic at intersections.  Never assume the cars see you.
3. Line up at starting line on the shoulder in departure number order. Stay off the traveled part of the roadway.
4. Generally ride to the right as you would when normally using the road. You are not required to stay on the paved shoulder.  Never ride on sidewalks.
5. Respect the rights of other road users. Allow plenty of room when passing pedestrians or other cyclists.
6. When passing another TT participant, abide by traffic laws pertaining to passing another road user. Do not pass to the right. Maintain a speed sufficient to get clear of the other participant. Riders will pass others on the left side and provide a verbal warning "on your left" command before passing.
7. When being passed by another TT participant, you must allow a five bike length gap to be created before you make an attempt to catch and pass that participant unless you were already accelerating (as happens when approaching the finish line).
8. Do not ride with your head down.
9. There will be 4-6 Course Marshals are on the course.  They will  vouch that riders have crossed checkpoints and are in charge of safety on the course.  They all have cell phones.  If you need assistance for an emergency, they are there to help.
10. Warming up on the course after the count down commences is forbidden.
11. Starts will be from a standstill.
12. No drafting is allowed.
13. Call out your number loud and clear two times or more as you approach and cross the finish line. If another rider is crossing the finishing line just ahead of you, allow him or her to call his or her number first so the correct finishing sequence can be recorded.
14. Ride through the finish line and continue riding in the same direction so as not to interfere with riders finishing behind.  Turn into the Fire Hall parking lot after you sprint through the finish.  Riders who completed the race will not loiter in the finishing area. The area in front of the Fire Department entrance must be kept clear at all times.
15. Riders shall not approach the timekeepers for information on times prior to the announcement of official results in the parking lot.
16. Leaving or short-cutting the course is not permitted.
17. Repairs may be undertaken during the race, but not in any place liable to hamper or endanger riders.
18. You may walk your bike at any time, being cognizant of other riders.
19. Starts are given at half-minute intervals, each competitor shall be responsible for observing the starting time set for him/her.
20. Any rider dropping out of the race shall notify the race committee.
21. Competitors may file objections. Objections will be provided in writing to the race committee.
22. Riders will be given a number to wear throughout the entire race.  They must display their number visibly in the front.
23. Race committee decisions are final.
24. Riders must be at least 9 years of age to participate.
